Intel following in the footsteps of AMD

Intel following in the footsteps of AMD

TSMC, or Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing company, signed an agreement with intel at the end of last year to manufacture chips for CPUs using 3nm technology.

Production of intel 3nm chips will begin in the second half of 2022. At the same time, Intel will become the second-largest client to acquire TSMC's 3nm chips. Here they are second only to Apple.

Although Intel is in talks with TSMC and Samsung to acquire high-end chips, it is understood that negotiations with Samsung are still in the early stages. It is reported that Intel has not yet reached a final decision on this import and although it has obtained chips from TSMC (whether these are CPU or other chips yet) a related product will not be released to the market until the beginning of 2023.

Intel imported from TSMC in 2018 due to strong demand and production problems with the 14nm chip. Therefore, this is not the first time such an opportunity has arisen.
