Windows Sandbox and other virtual machines

Although there is other free Virtual PC software like Virtual Box, the difference in this Windows Sandbox is that it can be activated very easily. Also, you will not have to install a new OS. Once tried, when we close, everything we did will be reset.

The following things are required to run Windows sandbox well

  • Windows 10 Pro (or Enterprise).
  • Hardware virtualization.
  • AMD64 architecture.
  • 2 processor cores minimum (4 cores with hyperthreading is recommended).
  • 4GB of RAM (8GB is recommended).
  • 1GB of HDD space (SSD is recommended).

If you have these things on your system, you can try Sandbox. Let's see how to enable this feature.

Go to Command Prompt. This comes up when you type CMD in the search.

Now type systeminfo.exe and press enter.

In the Hyper-V Requirements section of the current information, check whether Virtualization Enabled in Firmware is also YES. Or restart the PC and go to the BIOS and turn on Virtualization. (This may vary depending on the motherboard, so Google it)

After checking in this way, all you have to do is enable the normally disabled feature. In the Start Menu, type Turn Windows features on or off.

Now scroll to the bottom of this and tick the Windows sandbox and click OK. Sometimes you need the internet to enable this.

Now after restarting the system, type Windows sandbox in the Start and you can turn on this Windows Sandbox.
